DAY 1
Afternoon arrival in Helsinki International Airport. Train to Imatra. Guide meets the guests at the Imatra railway station. Transport to hotel Valtionhotelli – the Castle Hotel

11:00 Sightseeing tour of Imatra 2 h
Imatra is a real pearl of the Lakeland. The River Vuoksi flows through the city of Imatra, offering excellent opportunities for fishing all year long. Vuoksi does not freeze over even in winter. The river is surrounded by the most beautiful running and biking trails in all of Finland, and you can spot dozens of bird species on its shores. In the west, Imatra borders Lake Saimaa, which means that you can sail through the Saimaa channel from Imatra all the way to the Gulf of Finland. A busy marina is located on Lake Saimaa in Ukonniemi, next to Imatra Spa. Our guide will tell you a lot of local stories and legends.

With our full-service sauna cruises, you can focus on relaxation. Take sauna and dip into Vuoksa river after – just like Finns do. You can bring your own drinks and food with you and make barbecue, while sailing along Vuoksa river. In our fridge your drinks stay cold even in the hot summer.
DAY 3
Wild berries and mushroom picking tour
Price: 115 euro per person
Lake Saima Forest is one of the largest area for picking organic berries and mushrooms. Wild berries and mushrooms can be freely picked in Finland’s forests by everybody and we will drive you to secret berries and
mushrooms places where you can find planty of them. Our experienced guide will help to avoid a poisonous ones and will tell you about local nature. During our walk we fill up our baskets and of course taste some berries. When we come back to our house we will have a break and taste some local traditional snacks with coffee and juice.
