It is also possible to stop at the Lava Centre in Hvolsvöllur and enjoy the Icelandic Lava show in Vík. The Lava Centre is an interactive and high-tech educational exhibition depicting volcanic activity, earthquakes and the creation of Iceland over millions of years.
The Icelandic Lava show recreates a volcano eruption, similar to what Eyjafjallajökull and Katla volcano are famous for, by pouring molten lava into a room full of people.
